This will be a joint event with UA and the SoCal group GreatOutdoors (www.greatoutdoors.org). The plan is to fly to Oxnard Airport (KoXR) and arrive there by 08:15 AM. Great Outdoors people will drive us to Oxnard Harbor where we will board an Island Packers yacht for the hour long ride to Anacapa Island (http://www.islandpackers.com/anacapa.html). Whilst on the island, we will do leisurely hikes/tours of the island (http://www.islandpackers.com/ipcoWebpdf/anacapatrails.pdf), have a potluck lunch, hang out, etc. We return to Oxnard Harbor around 4:00 PM. Ride back to KOXR and depart to home destinations. Have dinner at SMO/Typhoon? There is a cost of $45/person for the Island Packers boat trip. Refunds may be made if the weather forecast is going to prevent VFR pilots from arriving on Sunday. Call the Island Packers number on the link above to register for the boat portion, and RSVP to me so I know how many people will need a shuttle from the airport. |
