Santa Barbara Picnic

Once again we fly-in to Santa Barbara Airport (http://www.airnav.com/airport/KSBA) for a joint event picnic with the Santa Barbara County Chapter of GreatOutdoors ( http://www.greatoutdoors.org/sb/index.html).

The picnic is being held at the Goleta Beach Park (http://www.countyofsb.org/parks/parks02.aspx?id=7682) a short 1/2 mile from the FBO at Atlantic Aviation.

We will be having a BBQ cookout in the park, beach fun, and socializing. Also, aircraft rides for the members of GreatOutdoors will be encouraged for those pilots who can support that activity.

Plan on coming to the beach area around 10:30-11:00 AM and spending the afternoon.

Also, those who are up for it can plan on flying to the SBA area on Friday or Saturday and enjoying all that the American Riviera has to offer, and then show up on Sunday for the BBQ Beach Party.

Friday, Nov 5th we have a social/cocktail hour planned.

Saturday Nov 6th is the Pride Parade and afternoon BBQ/Pool Party.

Sunday Nov 7th is the survivor dinner in Palm Springs.

AOPA Summit

Plan now to attend one of the largest aircraft pilot conventions in the world, the 2010 AOPA Summit in Long Beach Ca.
Full details are in the link for the AOPA, but we will probably have a reception or social event during the weekend. Also, we will plan on attending the exhibit hall at the convention center, perhaps meeting up in a convenient place for lunch.
